HERE IS A PARTIAL LISTING OF CHEMICALS THAT MIGHT Affect YOU
1.Dibutyl Phthalate–found in nail polish, causes dizziness and nausea, some of its effects are birth defects and a reproductive toxin.
2.Formaldehyde or methylene glycol–found in nail hardner and polish, causes throat irritation and rashes, can cause cancer and dermatitis
3.Toluene–found in hair dye, nail glue, hair piece bonding, nail polish and wig glue, causes dizziness, headaches, skin rashes, eye, nose, throat irritation.
4.Methyl Methacrylate–found in artificial nails, causes nose, throat irritation, headaches, confusion, some of the long term effects are Loss of smell, reproductive toxin, asthma.
5.Cyclopentasiloxane or cyclomethicone–found in Flat iron sprays, thermal protection sprays, the heat of a flat iron can cause the release of this chemical creates formaldehyde, which causes coughing, wheezing, skin rashes, eye, nose, throat irritation. Long term effects are cancer and dermatitis.
6.Styrene–found in Hair extension glue; lace wig glue, causes vision problems, trouble concentrating, tiredness. Can cause cancer over a long period.
7.Butoxyethanol or Ethylene glycol monobutyl ether–found in disinfectants and cleaners, causes headache, eye and nose irritation, is a reproductive toxin when used over a period of time.
BE MINDFUL OF THESE CHEMICALS
Because of a safer alternative, these chemicals are used daily and are known to be very harmful to your health.
1.Quaternary Ammonium–used in disinfectants and cleaning products. Causes skin, eye and nose irritation, also causes cancer.
2.P-phenylenediamine–found in Hair dyes, black henna tattoos. Causes skin irritation and also dermatitis.
3.Methacrylic acid–found in Nail primer, eyelash glue, causes Skin burns, eye, nose and throat irritation. This toxic chemical causes Kidney damage, dermatitis, and is a reproductive toxin.
TAKE PROTECTIVE MEASURES WHEN USING ANY CHEMICAL
Using common sense is the best defense against any harmful effects of chemicals.
