Abortion how does it effect you………what’s your take on it?


Abortion means ending a pregnancy before the fetus (unborn child) can live independently outside the mother.

If It takes place spontaneously before 24 weeks of pregnancy, it is called a miscarriage.

Done deliberately to end the pregnancy of a woman it’s called a therapeutic abortion.


Making a decision to have a pregnancy aborted is very personal and feelings about doing it varies a lot from person to person.

The religious views of a person may come into play when they consider having an abortion and even how one’s health is may be a determining factor when making a decision to abort a pregnancy.

Each person may have a plethora of thoughts running through their minds as the time gets closer to actually having it performed.

But making a decision is a must!

Don’t start beating yourself up, be rational, you’re a very intelligent individual, seek counseling if you must and don’t start playing the blame game, remember it took two people to accomplish this pregnancy and you did realize the sex was unprotected.


Opinions of others are important but ultimately the decision is up to you.

Consider where you are right now and how you’re gonna deal with this.

What about your future how do you visualize yourself next month or next year.

Perhaps the thought of keeping the baby crossed your mind.

Another thought may have been of putting the baby up for adoption.

Whatever your thoughts, you need to discuss it with your doctor, the father of the baby, your priest or parents.

Time doesn’t wait and it’ll soon be time to make a decision concerning your pregnancy.


Some women have mild to severe emotional side effects after having an abortion, some are overwhelmed and some show relief.

The emotional side effects of having an abortion seem to far outweigh the physical side effects of the procedure.

Remember that the emotional side effects are equal to the physical effects.

It is important to discuss these risks with a trained professional or someone you really trust in these matters that you can ask questions to and have any issues resolved.

How you feel about what it is you’re carrying inside of you can make all the difference.

Maybe you have reached the conclusion that this not a real baby until it is born.

You may be worrying right now about how your chances for getting pregnant in the future are affected by having an abortion.

People who have this kind of mentality seem to deal with the process of having an abortion much better that people that feel different from that.

Shame, sadness, loneliness, depression, nightmares and anger can all be a part of the side effects that a woman feels after having aborted a baby.

You may be deeply concerned about how your chances of getting pregnant in the future are affected by having an abortion right now.

Rest assured that having an abortion is very unlikely to affect your chances of becoming pregnant again.

Having an abortion does not make you an evil woman. There is no reason for you to feel that way because regardless of what you might be thinking now, you are not alone, many just like you have gone through this and are doing great.

Making the choice to have an abortion is totally up to the people involved.

Surround yourself with people who completely understand what it is you are dealing with.

Don’t feel pressure by anyone to make a decision that is not right for you.

Do not isolate yourselt during this time, you are not going to become “the wicked witch of the west” because of the decision you made today.
